Demonstration of Bioresorbable Stent Manufacturing by Multi-Axial Scaffold Extrusion (MASE) Technology Developed by AMET


Designed by AMET and custom made in-house, the Multi-Axial Scaffold Extrusion (MASE) equipment extrudes a thin fiber to form a vascular stent onto a rotating mandrel (4th axis) in a wide range of stent sizes directly from a biodegradable raw material (pellets).  Compared with other traditional 3D printing technologies which are based on layer-by-layer depositions of materials, this MASE platform with precision and efficiency is truly an innovative advancement of additive manufacturing in the medical device field.
